As already was reported, a group of Ukrainian experts visited Norway in the framework of the Slovak-Norwegian-Ukrainian project “Information Support and Implementation of Innovative Approaches to Cross-Border Cooperation of Slovakia and Ukraine”.
The experts told at a presentation that was held at the Faculty of International Politics, Management and Business about the results of the visit to the border region of this country – Finmark province and the city of Kirkenes. The event was held with the participation of Slovak experts – scientists of the Slovak Academy of Sciences – led by Anka Kalistova, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences.
The presentation was led by Marian Haydosh – professional guarantor of the project, Ph.D., Senior Fellow at the Center of Social and Psychological Sciences, Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS). Ukrainian experts spoke on various aspects of the Nordic experience of cross-border cooperation that was studied during the visit: Serhiy Ustych – Head of the Department of International Studies and Social Communications of UzhNU, Director of the Institute for Cross-Border Cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary; Oleksandr Bilak – deputy mayor of Uzhhorod; Olesia Benchak – teacher of the department of international studies and social communications of Uzhhorod National University, project manager.
The discussion was attended by lecturers of the Department of International Studies and Social Communications. Students studying in the specialties “International Relations” and “Country Studies” also joined the conversation.
The presentation showed that the visit of the Ukrainian experts was very meaningfull. It will help achieve the goals set by the project.
