Position in the project: expert

My reflection on the project:
The Slovak Republic and Ukraine do have considerable potential for the development of social and economic relations, cooperation in the development of infrastructure and protection of the environment. However, cooperation for various reasons hinges on institutional and structural barriers. The goal of our work was to identify opportunities to apply creatively Barents region experiences and to contribute to further discussion on policy-making and mesures how to adreess the barriers and utlize the potential.

Research areas:
Senior Researcher at the Slovak Academy of Sciences/Institute for Forecasting Studies: Research of the intersections between environmental and economic/social policies. Specific focus on the EU economic and social cohesion policies vis-à-vis industrial development and the environmental trends.
